This project was to take
a bare basement being used as an over-sized storage area, and create a
space for the clients, their children and grandchildren to use. The
clients wanted separate rooms for various functions. They wanted a
theater room, a playroom/gameroom, a gym, a kitchen without the standard
large appliances that would overpower the area, and they wanted a
billiard room. The most important thing is that they didn’t want any
lolly columns to be visible, nor did they want them hidden under
decorative columns. All this was accomplished with a creative layout and
clever engineering.
