Park Century School, an
elementary school for students with learning disabilities, is located in
a converted warehouse building in Culver City, California. The new
campus is a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces with a central
"Main Street" where all of the essential school activities are accessed
through the sunlight-drenched atrium. Students enter from a loading
dock, similar to the old warehouse, through a portal into a world of
their own with a Performing Arts Center, Gymnasium, Library and Arts
Room. The glass trees on the facade express the hope of students as they
thrive in their new digs.
