This project was the
addition of a 1,900 sq. ft. Parents Suite addition to a historic 1860’s
home. To maintain the style of a growing/working farm estate they also
created a series of smaller additions that looked as if they would have
been added over time. This variation of size and style kept the scale of
the large addition in proportion to the original home. Details like
rustic wood, slate and inlaid brick floors were combined with beamed
ceilings and trim details to match the character of the original home.
Since this home was well known by the community the process of Design
Driven Construction was successful in creating a historically correct
and functional solution for the homeowner and the community.
