The
homeowner wanted to transform their 1,800 SF of unfinished space into a
warm, modern, family oriented living area which chronicled their life
and travels abroad while maintaining a healthy, unique design to
compliment their home. Radius walls create a tranquil impression while
the bamboo floors, concrete fireplace, and 3-form panels suggest a
healthy, natural environment. Windows ranging in size with frosted glass
let natural light into the living area, yet isolate the living quarters
from view. The dedicated theater and wine storage in dark areas with
lowered duct work let these obstacles become part of the design strategy
to create an appropriate, intimate space. This eclectic, organic space
possesses a decisive design direction full of movement and creativity.
