This project included the
removal of an existing one-story space and replacing it with a new
two-story addition. The new spaces on the first floor include an
attached single car garage, a mudroom, powder bath, family room, small
study and outdoor deck. On the second floor, a new study, master bedroom
with master bath and walk-in closet were added. The extremely tight lot
required a compact, well planned-out solution. The new addition snuggles
up seamlessly and comfortably to the existing, just as if it had always
been there. The main floor provides both a larger family gathering
space, and more private “away” spaces in the “not-so-big” house design
manner.
