The kitchen remodel
transformed the dated, cramped and nondescript kitchen into a beautiful,
modern, functional and enjoyable room in which to cook, interact with
family and entertain. By eliminating the unnecessary and narrow hallway,
the hallway space was added to the new kitchen. In addition, the corner
kitchen door leading to the backyard was removed. With these 2 changes,
it allowed us to widen the kitchen area, adding an island with seating
and to capture the corner of the kitchen and make it a functional part
of the room. Also, by removing the lowered ceiling, the kitchen takes on
a much more open and inviting feeling.
