This is a total makeover
of a tired 60’s ranch that redefined the spaces and appearance of the
home to take advantage of the backyard views and sunlight. The new great
room is marked by a high roof belvedere, that brings in daylight from
all four sides, while a 12 foot sliding door opens to a new back patio
overlooking the lake. Walls separating the kitchen and entry came down
to give the home a contemporary loft-like flow. The owner, who performed
much of the demolition herself, loves the flow of the remodeled home,
the modern, open kitchen, and the light.
