We remodeled this Carving
Studio out of a 10’ 6” wide garage. Our client was using a small corner
in an overcrowded unfinished basement as his woodshop, and we saw an
opportunity to give the homeowner his own personal space.
Challenges included installing noisy systems away from the quiet of the
workshop, i.e. air compressor and vacuum. Today, the Studio has its own
HVAC system, fine particulate air filter, ample display/storage space,
and a remote-controlled insect screen. The carriage doors allow for easy
transport of large items.
This project shows a creative example of how to re-imagine a small
space.
