This 1889 barn, part of a 4
acre estate, was re-imagined to make a comfortable guest house. The
original pegged timber structure frames a dramatic second floor
entertainment space. This area, dubbed “The Cathedral of Fun” for its
soaring cathedral ceiling, is the center of activity for guests and
family alike, who gather to watch sports and movies on the big TV, and
celebrate family milestones and holidays. Careful restoration of some of
the barn’s original features--sliding doors, the hayloft--combined with
a 21st century sensibility about how we live today, have transformed
this structure.
