The
purpose of the VCA Promenade Animal Hospital project was to remodel an
existing retail space to accommodate a state of the art veterinarian
facility. Our client’s primary objective for this project was to
relocate an existing practice from its current location into this newly
remodeled facility. As the general contractor, our scope of work
involved interior demolition of the existing floors, ceiling, and walls
at both the first and second floors, as well as relocating the existing
staircase from its original location inside the to the other side of the
building, in an effort to meet our client’s specifications.
Some of these aesthetic
improvements included new finishes such as: porcelain tile with epoxy
grout, heat seamed sheet vinyl flooring, epoxy painted walls, and energy
efficient lighting. More extensive improvements also involved new
interior walls, new acoustical ceilings, new doors, and new veterinarian
equipment. By significantly remodeling and improving the existing space,
our client was able to relocate to a facility three times the size of
their current space. Maximizing the usability of each square foot
enabled our client to take on additional veterinarians and support staff
as well as additional boarding areas; thus, improving efficiency and in
turn, increasing our client’s revenue earning potential. When our team
handed over the keys to the new facility, our client was immensely
satisfied with the overall remodeling process and, ultimately, the final
completed product
