The new owners of this
1960’s home wanted to update the dark and dated fully paneled kitchen
and adjacent family room. Removing walls that separated the kitchen from
the dining room and the family room created an open plan. The existing
kitchen ceiling had to be modified to allow it to seamlessly integrate
into the existing vaulted ceiling of the original family room. The
existing half bath and laundry room were re-designed to give the kitchen
more space so that all of the remodeling occurred within the home’s
existing footprint. New appliances, cabinets, backsplashes, and granite
counters completed the update.
