The homeowners wanted to combine their existing home and yard with a neighboring lot that had succumbed to years of neglect and disrepair. The goal was to add an addition that would flow seamlessly both inside and out, blend into the neighborhood and provide space to entertain, work and host visiting family. The elevation of the new lot was raised 16’ to match the height of the existing grade - accomplished using geo-foam blocks to reduce the impact on the neighborhood and reduce costs.
