This is a 2-unit condominium building on Coronado Island, California. Built in 1974 as a rectangular box with wood trim, the neighborhood today is one of the most desirable, exclusive and expensive in San Diego County. Exterior surfaces were obsolete and cheap looking. In addition, the ocean air had taken its toll on all metal and painted surfaces.

Working from sketches and magazine photos supplied by the owners, they developed a design to trim the building with custom made foam shapes and faux finishes. Wood railings were replaced with wrought iron and the entire building was re-textured.
