Lovers and collectors of
fine wines, the clients envisioned a finished lower level with the
ambiance of Napa Valley, a sophisticated wine cellar, a convenient wet
bar and plenty of room for entertaining.
A new set of stairs was dropped to access the new space using oak steps
with wrought iron and wood handrails. Textured walls and ceilings and
porcelain and tile flooring are true to the olde world motif. Faux
finishes and a collection of unique wine art complete the artistry of
this spirited mecca.
The dazzling wall created for wine storage was built with 3/8” thick
glass, and measures 5’ X 43’. Two glass doors complement the wall and
elegant black galaxy granite graces the flooring and walls. Storing
racks were constructed so that each label is easily legible. A fully
equipped wet bar is conveniently located near the wine cellar and a
comfortable seating area houses a semi-circular sofa. Olde-world art and
accessories round out the vintage theme.
