This 1942 bathroom was
cramped, outdated, and in desperate need of a remodel. Modern fixtures
and features with classic elements-such as pedestal sinks, a free
standing tub and ceramic subway tile-all played up the 40s feel of the
home, while instilling a sense of luxury and serenity. Creative
built-ins add storage. A linen/laundry storage cabinet was built into
the dormer area, tip out drawers were added in between the two pedestal
sinks for combs, brushes, hairdryer, etc. Partially recessed medicine
cabinets added personal storage and a hidden toilet paper shelf
conveniently places extra paper right by the toilet.
