The kitchen was too
small, the adjoining dining room was rarely used, neither was the formal
living. We took over the former dining room to enlarge the kitchen, and
strategically shrunk the formal living to make for an appealing dining
room. The piece- de- resistance was creating a permanent home for a
family heirloom – a Cobblers block from the 1800s that the homeowner
grew up with and inherited. With the homeowners blessing, we removed the
legs, spruced it up, and fabricated cabinetry and countertops to fit
around it. Now they have a beautiful, personal and functional family
kitchen!
