The objective was to  create a more upscale kitchen with a lot of storage and cabinet space with a better island layout and professional appliances. The design team cut into an adjacent pantry to create space for a buit-in refrigerator and double oven. This allowed all the tall elements of the kitchen to be placed on a tuck away wall to create much needed counter space for the rest of the kitchen. By relocating the dining room door into the kitchen, a new butler area with added cabinets and beverage cooler was created. The island was reshaped to allow six to eight people to sit. The contrast between the deep cherry burgundy cabinetry and maple hardwood floor is amazing. The dark granite counter tops and use of glass backsplash tiles make this project one that stands out
