This French
eclectic-style home was built in 1912 for the owner of the Hudson
Motorcar Company. The new owners requested that the renovation be
complementary to the original style of the home. Unknown to the
contractor, the home was constructed of three layers thick of common
brick with a stucco exterior. An engineer was brought in to oversee the
removal of wall and the installation of support beams. The home was
recently designated a local historic area, and the remodel judged to be
fitting to the home.
