When the clients
purchased a get-away home, they wanted to remodel a traditional space
into something that was lively and contemporary. These desires were
carried throughout the house, and are well represented in the fireplace
and surrounding entertainment center, designed by architect Stephen
Yablon. The use of hand-crafted concrete and oak Poggenpohl cabinets and
surround brought vitality to the fireplace and entertainment unit. Sleek
details and symmetric lines add to the appeal and provide the essentials
to bring all the elements into a contemporary single unit.
