We took
our client’s two hundred year old farmhouse, with small dark rooms and
low ceilings, and created a charming addition that seamlessly ties in
old with new. The addition boasts a new foyer, large modern kitchen, and
sitting area. A new dining room is located where the original kitchen
once stood. The low ceilings, exposed stone walls, and fireplace, create
a warm and cozy space for enjoying meals. The stunning see-through
fireplace visually makes sense of the transition from the high ceilings
of the addition to the low ceiling of the original home
