The
homeowners love to barbeque and entertain, so the porch design needed to
incorporate a large dining area, living space, covered grill area, large
stone fireplace and still maintain proper flow from the kitchen and
great room areas. We chose to go with ironwood decking for its
durability and color compatibility with the cedar timbers and shutters.
A stone patio was installed for easy cleanup of the covered area.
Reclaimed barn wood was used to create a mountain lodge-look in the
grill area, where the ironwood was carried over to the counter tops.
Because the space would be used for a wide variety of functions, the
lights were placed on dimmers, giving every space a variety of lighting
options.
