The goal was to provide
this deteriorating Del Ray bungalow with a sense of character and
coziness. The property was void of intrigue and had been poorly
maintained, and now the owner wanted it to reflect her personality.
After determining the client's personal tastes and preferences, they
developed a Craftsman design scheme. The scope of work involved the
removal and replacement of all existing windows, siding, trim, columns,
porch flooring & ceiling and roofing. In addition, many compromised
structural members on the house and porch needed to be addressed.
Although the client did not want to have to replace the porch, she is
extremely happy with the result and it is now the focal point of the
home.
