An elevated design, high visibility, and sensitivity to the historic main house made this project challenging. The project: a new pool and pool house adjacent to their 140-year-old home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Homes in New Orleans. A stone deck, attached to the back of the main house and connected to the foundation, had to be removed to achieve the design. This required work to the brick foundation of the main house in addition to driving 85 helical piles to support the pool/pool-house. This work required significant care to prevent damage to the home. |
