The clients asked Feinmann to renovate the kitchen and create a breakfast seating area that maximized enjoyment of an “urban” garden they loved. Feinmann opened up the space and suspended the breakfast area over the garden with a cantilevered box bay window comprised of floor to ceiling glass on three sides. In seeking a more spacious feel, the clients sought to minimize the footprint of the addition. To make this all possible, the team reconfigured the space, moving the sink and storage to an island adjacent to the commonly used back door.
