A
poorly done addition to this historic home had resulted in a disjointed
kitchen layout and awkward ceilings. Frequent entertainers, these
homeowners wanted a multifunctional kitchen with integrated living
space. To do this, the leftover walls (called pinchpoints) and kitchen
peninsula were removed, opening up the area and allowing the creation of
a multifunctional kitchen with drop zone and coffee and wine stations.
As a result of careful detailing and trim work, the once awkward ceiling
is now a cohesive, interesting feature of the new kitchen. The
homeowners now enjoy a bright, modern kitchen with a seamlessly
integrated living area.
