The homeowners wanted their
traditional home to reflect their modern, ascetic aesthetic. They
envisioned a versatile basement living area that could be used for
entertaining, guest accommodations, exercise, and wellness.
We designed an industrial space that included a home theater, a
kitchenette, a guest bedroom suite, home office workspace, and a
personal gym with sauna and spa area. We brought in natural light by
adding two windows with emergency egresses. It is warm and intimate, yet
open; creating privacy without walls.
