The owners yearned to create a central focal point that united all of this home’s levels and spaces. The desire was a sleek, contemporary stair that would be a show stopper, would be safe for the couple’s small children and not have an outrageous price tag. The result is this free floating staircase, suspended from the roof and constructed with a combination of powder coated steel and oak. This custom designed work of art opens up the entire house, integrates the rooms from which it can be seen and provides the bold visual statement which the owners sought.
