The owners were
interested in changing this cottage with horizontal wood siding into an
open Ranch style home from which they could enjoy views of the
landscaping from all main rooms in the house. Most of the walls and
framework of the original cottage house were torn down to make way for
the new floor plan. The new plan was much more open than the previous,
allowing additional windows and views of the yard from almost
everywhere.
