This project involved the
updating of a home that Barry had designed 28 years earlier. Redoing the
living room also mandated “touching” the adjacent hallway, breakfast
room and family room, since they borrowed some of these spaces to
complete the remodel.
An opening was created in the living room/family room to expand the
space with a view all the way to the pool area. Rail lighting a recessed
niche lighting were installed to highlight and accent new space. The
adjacent hallway was freshened by the addition of “light beams”. Once
they opened the wall from the living room to the family room, they were
compelled to marry the spaces in similar details…and they lived happily
ever after.
