This is the renovation
and updating of the 1280 sq. ft. basement of a 67 year old English Tudor
in a historic section of Denver. Basements in homes this old have many
unique problems including asbestos wrapped ducts, ceilings lower than
code requirements, deteriorating plumbing, and brick support walls. In
spite of all these challenges, the clients now have a beautiful,
functional, comfortable, completely updated space. Because it is in an
Historic district, approvals for additions are almost impossible. By
finishing the basement, the project almost doubled the square footage of
the home without an addition.
