2011 Addition under $100,000
National Award Winner

The new 244 sf addition at the rear of the home includes a new master bath connected to the bedroom and a new rear entry with a utility room. The small footprint of the addition called for an efficient configuration of the space and in order for the new space to feel open and roomy, walls were kept to a minimum.

Originally, the owners of this bungalow used the single bath located off the hall and the small closets in separate bedrooms. The new bath connected to the master bedroom includes double sinks, a tiled shower, and a dressing area with built-in alder cabinetry. The linen cabinet dividing the vanity area from the toilet area provides additional storage yet has a low profile. The new light filled master bath with its cool walls, clean lines, and granite and tile finishes, is a welcome addition for the owners and is well suited to the style of the home.
