The design was driven by
an existing multi-story screen porch. The two-story area was maintained
as a family room/library complete with clear-story windows, bookcases
with a rolling library ladder, and coffered ceiling design. The one
story area of the porch was extended and rebuilt with an exterior
balcony off the bedroom above. The interior of the one-story space
functions as entertaining space, complete with cabinetry, sink,
refrigerator, and ice machine.
