This project included the addition of a covered deck and gazebo, a new lower patio area, a built-in grilling area on the deck and the construction of a new Koi pond. Cascading additions to the outdoor areas provide space for entertaining and dance parties within site of the beloved koi pond. The entertainment area is enhanced by a state-of-the-art outdoor sound system. The screened-in gazebo provides a comfortable respite from insects. The large outdoor grilling area has plenty of counter space and easy access to the kitchen. A key element in the design was the use of a translucent panel to provide cover over a portion of the deck. It is instrumental in shielding the sun while allowing exposure to the natural surroundings of the yard and the lake beyond.
