Originally built and
designed by Lutah Maria Riggs in 1960, this home located in Montecito,
CA on two flat acres was rebuilt from foundation to finish within the
existing framework. It was a significant challenge to reorganize the
original layout of small rooms into a series of large open comfortable
spaces given its original post and beam structural design. Now restored
with all new utilities, metal windows and doors, and finishes inside and
out, this historic gem was rebuilt to preserve a piece of Montecito’s
rich history for at least 60 more years.
