The
owner needed to update their home. Siding and roofing needed replacing.
They needed a new kitchen and wanted a “more open” feel to their home.
They also needed an outdoor entertaining area.
We
extended the back of the house for the kitchen and master suite. One
major challenge was aligning the floors. In the kitchen area, the
homeowner wanted a seamless transition between tile and hardwood
flooring. The original house was out of level approximately 2” over 15’.
The tile and hardwood was not in a straight line. The homeowner was very
energy conscious, so we used energy efficient building material and
practices. We used Zip wall and roof systems for air sealing, closed
cell spray foam in the exterior plumbing wall, bedroom floor, above the
garage and rear cantilever extension for the master bedroom and bath.
Almost every light fixture was LED.
