The
project started out as an extension of the rear of the home to create a
larger kitchen. Since the homeowner wanted a more open feel to the home,
they then added a second floor for the master suite with three
additional bedrooms that all included their own full bath. What made
this project extremely challenging was getting the homeowner back in
their home on time. Two days after ripping up the second floor Hurricane
Sandy hit. The owner was impressed with the fact that with all the
damage to the neighborhood, and being without power for up to two weeks,
not a drop of water got into their existing finished basement and the
use of a generator to continue working allowed the project to be
finished on time.
