 2008 Best Kitchen Remodel $40,000

This project consists of
a kitchen upgrade for two recent empty nesters who wanted a more
spacious, contemporary and functional kitchen. A wall separating the
kitchen from the pantry room was demolished to add room. Materials were
chosen to provide a contemporary look. The floor was replaced with dark
gray stone. A black glass mosaic backsplash and black granite
countertops contrast with the stainless steel cabinets, light fixtures
and appliances.
A completely new space was created with a minimum of intervention, and
this kitchen now serves as the focal point of the home.
