This
project is a net energy zero commercial office building powered with two
free-standing solar panels. It was originally and electric railroad car
barn built in 1907. The remodeled offices are healthy, inspiring and
they were designed to foster a thriving business. Most exterior
materials were replaced with the same profiles that were originally
used, which serve to pay homage to the past. The interior “building
within a building” is a 21st century model of high performance and
energy savings. The result is a perfect hybrid that honors history and
community while effectively embracing the future.
