This project exemplifies the huge impact
of small gestures. Adding a small addition to the existing house allowed
significant changes in function and flow on the interior. More
importantly, though, the interior spaces became much more intimate and
comfortable. On the exterior, the same addition transformed a boxy and
impersonal structure into a charming, cottage-like home. The thoughtful
use of siding and trim, the addition of a rear porch, and the placement
of a custom-designed bay window on the front of the house, enhance the
appearance of the entire home.
