2021 Regional Award
Basement Remodel under $100,000
We'd already done a
number of renovations to this historic 1908 home when our clients asked
us to transform their lower level. They wanted it to feel less like a
basement and more like the other finished levels in their home. They’d
used it primarily as a media room and game area. And while it
accommodated these activities, it was kind of a mess; all loose ends,
odd soffits, leftover spaces, and exposed access points. Unfortunately
none of these elements could be moved. In the end, our design was an
exercise in disguising these existing conditions with an
aesthetically-pleasing envelope.
