Having
a central hub where the family could all gather while doing different
daily tasks was a key factor in the design of their new space. Creating
a flow to bring more balance and ease in their daily lives was a major
part of their vision for the new space. Cooking family meals was also a
very big part of their lives and having a well planned kitchen that
matched their passion for cooking while keeping everyone together was
very important.
The
large island with seating provides ample room for extra kitchen helpers
as well as a convenient location to have quick family meals that also
allowed for efficient cleanup. The Island is also the perfect spot to
do homework and made guiding the children while preparing meals a
breeze. The open plan of the kitchen expands into the living room
adding additional connection to family and friends during casual as well
as formal gatherings
