Clients wanted a kitchen,
a master suit, mud-room, all in a modern style and using sustainable
building materials where possible. A two story addition was added to the
back of the existing house and mudroom in the front. The rejuvenated
home has natural wood, metal and stone accents through both the interior
and exterior. An innovative use of galvanized steel downspouts and
flashing highlight the warm cedar shingles and trim, while round, steel
engine block plugs accent the long squared support columns of both the
front and back entries. The new kitchen opens up to a family room and
has lots of storage spaces. A new master suite including a laundry room
was added on the second story.
