2018 National Award Residential Specialty Item
under $50,000
The client's home is a
1920's Spanish style. She is a very avid cook who also has a aesthetic
for antiques. The challenge was to incorporate the antiques, finding the
place for a large range while giving more space to the kitchen and still
have it function well. The homeowners are both attorneys, so part of the
inspiration drew from old library cabinets.
Rooms were reconfigured and doors were moved. All the while keeping in
mind that it had to look natural and blend with the existing house. It
is a unique kitchen which is still timeless.
