The original bathroom was
inefficient with no privacy in the water closet and an enclosed small
shower. By closing off the water closet from the rest of the bathroom,
they were able to achieve privacy and not give up on natural light by
using an opaque glass pocket door. Also, by using glass block to mimic
the other windows in the house, they were able to give the client the
glass block elements used as the divider between the shower and vanity
area. This was truly a team effort and collaboration between the owners,
architect and contractor.
