Sometimes all it takes is reorienting existing space. That is what they did in this compact kitchen remodel. After all, a kitchen should be a functional gathering space to prepare epicurean delights. They designed a mouth-watering custom cherry bar with a truffle stain and ebony glaze out of Showplace cabinetry and topped it with a multi-level granite countertop, making this an area for the cooktop as well as for guests to assemble. The tumbled stone gives a charming rustic appearance to the overall project. This newly redesigned compact kitchen provides a certain 'je ne sais quoi' without being opulent.
