At first glance you might
not realize this remodel exists, but just behind a custom made
bookcase-with books on it-in the master Suite you will find a Master
Closet and dressing area. The owner wanted to turn the existing seasonal
storage space into his closet and a place where he could get packed and
ready for frequent out of town trips. Turning the storage area into a
closet did present a challenge because of the clipped ceilings that
created a lot of harsh angles following the roof lines. The architect
designed all the cabinetry to flush out the clips to create a more
pleasing space. One important detail was to make sure all the cabinet
reveals were consistent throughout the space. Other areas of the home
were also renovated. The children's study was turned into an upstairs
sitting room overlooking the kitchen below.
