2007 Decade of Excellence Award
Continuing to set new
standards of professionalism, 95 remodeling companies from across the US
were honored at the fourteenth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling
Excellence on June 20th at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.. The
awards were presented during the Southern Building Show.
Judged by editors and writers of Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day,
Southern Living and The American Institute of Building Design, the
winners were selected from over 626 entries. The entries were judged on
overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree
to which the project enhanced the original structure. In addition,
special awards were presented for Remodeler of the Year and the Decade
Of Excellence.
This year, in addition to winning Southern Remodeler of the Year, S&S
Renovators of New Iberia, Louisiana received the Decade of Excellence
Award. This is the highest award the competition can bestow. To win, a
company must have won a Chrysalis Award in each of ten separate years.
This is only the third time that a company has won this award.
“The Decade of Excellence Award is the most difficult to win, because of
the time and commitment required.” says Ken Kanline, Director of the
awards. “There is no greater testament to a company’s consistent
excellence over time than this, and S&S Renovators represents the
pinnacle of remodeling excellence.”
Since 1998, S&S Renovators has won awards for Residential Insurance
Restoration, Commercial Insurance Restoration, Best Whole House Remodel,
Southern Remodeler of the Year and has been named Louisiana Remodeler of
the Year an incredible nine times.
“The criteria for Remodeler of the Year, simply put, is…how much you
give and give-back”, says Kanline, “It’s how much you give your
customers through your talents, how much you give your suppliers through
your loyalty and solid business practices, how much you give back to
your industry through your time and involvement, and how much you give
back to your community. Each Remodeler of the Year entrant has relative
strengths in each category, but the winners reflect those companies who,
in the judge’s opinion, are the strongest in the most areas, with
emphasis given to the most current year. For S&S to have won such an
important award so many times shows what a great company this is.”
