This project included
renovating existing space in the home and adding a new second floor. 612
square feet were added to create a second floor, where two bedrooms, a
bathroom and closet now exist. To get upstairs, a stairway was added
through an existing hall closet on the first floor. Downstairs, the
kitchen was gutted, a sunroom was added, two bathrooms were remodeled
and a new one added. To accommodate the second floor addition, the
roofline was changed, and two doghouse dormers were added to provide
natural light. To compliment the natural light that enters the kitchen
through the sunroom addition, seven recessed lights and five under
cabinet lights were installed in the kitchen.
Not only has the curb appeal of this home been increased, but the
existing space has been modernized and the family now has the additional
living space it needs.
