This gourmet kitchen was added to a modest two-story home. This professional couple’s love of cooking and entertainment plus the demands of two pre-school boys dictated an open space design. The partitions between the existing kitchen and breakfast room were removed and the exterior wall was extended out three feet to provide room for passageway around the island kitchen. The modernization of this traditional 50’s colonial reflects the informal lifestyle of this family.
