The objective was to utilize the roof of the newly constructed garage by adding a deck with a walk pad and railings. The challenge was to be able to walk out of the 1st floor onto a landing and go up the steps to the new roof deck. The steps to the deck had to be accessible, but not too prominent. Because of the limited space for the steps, they cut down the wall of the garage in order to make the necessary space.
